Einstein's Garden |
Dynamic Cell is an immersive experience exploring complex cellular processes that was first presented at Green Man 2016. The project was developed by Einstein’s Garden, and designed and delivered by Emma in collaboration with scientists from the University of Bristol.
Entering the dark interior of the cell, people experienced a hidden world brought to life with strange shapes, UV puppetry and mysterious sounds. Outside the cell, researchers were on hand to help solve the mystery, using puppets in the daylight to reveal how DNA, RNA and proteins work. Folding paper shapes were used to demonstrate protein folding, and to start discussions about how cells and genes can be manipulated in the lab. A redelivery of the project took place at Bristol Balloon Fiesta in 2017, and researchers are currently exploring further presentation opportunities. einsteinsgarden.net/portfolio/dynamic-cell/ |
